This gold-plated bail is used to mount pendant gemstones with front-to-back holes. To mount a gemstone, place the two ends of the bail into the holes in your pendant and squeeze closed. This bail can be squeezed closed with just your fingers, no tools are required. The hole at the top of the bail allows you to directly connect the bail to an ear wire, making an earrings with the pendant in the proper orientation
